AMAREN PRIVATE TOUR

We have created this private experience for those moments when you feel like pampering yourself.

We will start with a glass of our Amaren barrel fermented white, paired with a gilda.

You will then visit the grape reception area, the special wine making projects area, the zone where we make our whites and micro-plot wines the concrete deposits, the bottle room and finally the barrel cellar.

However, we have saved the best till last: you will be allowed to walk into the winery’s private bottle collection and with our winemaker, go through the most emblematic vintages of our Amaren Reserva 60 Tempranillo: 1995 our first ever vintage, 1999, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

AMAREN SINGLE-PLOT VINEYARD WINES EXPERIENCE

At Bodegas Amaren we are deeply rooted in the region: Rioja Alavesa. It’s time for you to feel and experience the land we cherish.

The experience will begin with a visit to our most iconic vineyard: El Regollar. It’s a terrace formed during the Quaternary, with vines emerging directly from the bedrock that have providentialy survived and gift us extraordinary grapes with a unique personality.

We will explain the rational and sustainable grapegrowing methods applied to our vineyards. We will drive back to the winery and explore the most special elements of a building built in the 30’s. You will then enjoy a tasting of 4 single-plot wines: Carraquintana, El Regollar, El Cristo de Samaniego and Viña Chelus.

AMAREN 60 SINGLE VARIETALS EXPERIENCE

At Bodegas Amaren we feel and love our vineyards. That’s why we would love to share our passion and invite you to a journey through the purest expression of our main grape varieties, Riojan Malvasía, Garnacha, Graciano and Tempranillo sourced from vines over 60 years old.

This experience allows you to discover our 60 single-varietal wines.

We will start with a glass of Riojan Malvasía (also known as Rojal) paired with a gilda -the area’s quintessential pinxtxo, consisting of Spanish pickled green chillies, anchovy fillets and green olives skewered on a cocktail stick.

We will then go through the special wine making projects area to enjoy a 100% Garnacha made from our Vallondo plot, planted in 1960. We will continue towards the bottle cellar and the area where our whites and micro-plot wines are made, where we will unveil one of the rarest native varieties in Rioja Alavesa: Graciano.

You will savour this wine with a serving of cured sheep cheese. After that we will go to the barrel ageing room to visit a a 16th-century underground cellar. The cherry on top will be a glass of Amaren Reserva 60 Tempranillo paired with an assortiment of charcuterie.

Intro Enoturismo

Bienvenidos.
